We ask residents and sponsors to aim for a minimum donation of $1,000 per month for the support of the resident while he is in the program. More than 80% of every dollar received for the ministry is spent on the direct cost incurred to help a resident and his family with the remainder being used to pay the staff a $100 per week stipend. staff members are missionaries and raise the remainder of their own support. The cost to minister to the residents is comprised of the expenses for food, gas, electricity, office supplies, maintenance, housing, occupational training materials, addiction recovery materials, Biblical education materials and various other operating expenses. A percentage of this cost is covered through donations by individuals and churches who have in one way or another been touched by this ministry. The remainder of this cost is usually donated by the resident's sponsors as well as the resident himself. We ask for your understanding in this matter. While money is most definitely not the focus of this ministry, it is a necessary part of our continuing operation. A tax deductible receipt will be issued for all donations. Since the funds are immediately put to use for operations and a deductible receipt is issued, we do not refund donations.
